Cleaning Guide

Congratulations and thank you for choosing Gascoigne Leather Centre for your leather lounge.

These instructions are to give you an understanding of how to care and clean your new leather lounge. Your lounge is made from genuine leather which is a natural product and needs to be cleaned and maintained regularly.

Please do not allow dust or dirt to accumulate on the leather surface. Make sure dust is wiped off with a soft damp cloth. Seasonally you will need to clean, condition, and protect your leather sofa using a recommended Gascoigne Leather Centre cleaning kit. Please follow instructions on the kit or if in doubt please contact us. These can be purchased from any Gascoigne Leather Centre store. When doing your regular maintenance please pay special attention to the areas that come into direct contact with skin or hair, these include the seat, back and arm. Please avoid vigorous rubbing and never soak the leather.

It is very important when cleaning your leather lounge and after using the recommended leather cleaner that you apply the conditioner / protection cream as this will keep your leather soft, supple, moisturised, and protected.

Any spills or body oils will need to be removed immediately with a soft damp nonabrasive cloth. Please make sure this is wiped away gently. Please contact Gascoigne Leather Centre if you need advice on how to remove if in doubt.

Please never use detergents, alcohol, chemicals, soaps, shoe polish, wax, window cleaner, silicone, saddle soap or any cleaning product not recommended by Gascoigne Leather Centre.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE

• Sharp or abrasive objects such as belt buckles, shoes, rings can cause damage your lounge.
• Dye transfer from clothing, scatter cushions, lotions etc may cause slight discolouration to your lounge.
• Please do not sit of lounge with wet clothing as this will damage leather.
• Pets should be kept away from contact with the leather as the natural oils and dirt from fur can cause damage to the leather on your lounge.
